A Sneak Peek! My first design team projects...

Here's a quick video of the first of my guest design team member projects for ....drumroll please...

My project  features Graphic 45 Ladies Diary paper and lot of beautiful embellishments from Misty's shop...enjoy

I used Graphic 45's beautiful Ladies Diary paper line and lots of flowers and embellies to make some feminine display pieces for my craft room.   The base for these two pieces were an old cigar box and frame I have had for years in my closet.
So glad to have these wonderful items from Misty to inspire me to make myself these design pieces.  The items  I used from mbtreasurista.com were:
  •  the lovely laces,
  • 6mm flatback pearl strands,
  • 10mm flat back pearls,
  • white paper roses (sprayed coral with Lindy's Stamp Gang)
  • brown mini organza butterfly
  • brown acrylic small flower
  • and my favorite: small peach roses.
Be sure to stop by Misty's shop and have fun yourself with these beautiful, feminine embellishments!

Thank you so much for taking the time to see my sneak peeks at my very first ever guest design team projects. Besure to stop by the other designers and see what cute projects they have for you at:

Finally finished...almost...with a fall mini...

Well, it's been almost a year, yep, a year, since I started this mini album.  I fell in love with the Tuscan Sunflower paper line from K and Co. after watching a youtube video.  Even though the video was already older when I saw it...I just had to have that paper line.  So the hunt was on! After days and nights of scouring the internet for the by then discontinued, gorgeous paper line...success!

And now, a year later...lol...I have finished..well almost... not yet filled with pictures...

The colors in this line are so rich and sun drenched, just like the name implies.  The prints are so boho chic.  I had never loved sunflowers til now.  These sunflowers are much more Vincent VanGogh and Tuscan inspired.  I love them.  I have always been an admirer of batik prints too, so this line just called to me.

Now the style of mini I decided on was another of Kathy Orta's inspired designs.  Using craft envelopes and paper, I dug in. I so admire Kathy's work, and one of my favorite things I love is how here style is always focused on making the photos the star of the project. And man oh man do her minis hold a lot of photos.  With flips and flaps and tons of hidden photo mats, they are always fun to make and to just as fun to "explore" when done.

Now about Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.  When deciding what to use to embellish this album, I knew I was going to need lots of fall flowers.  So out came the plain and not so favorite colored flowers and my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. and voila...just the rich colors I needed.  Yum...Lindy's sprays never disappoint...and of course I could not let one drop of the overspray go unused...I always spray on waxed paper, so the over spray won't get absorbed,

then I use it by sopping it up with plain white seam binding and voila again....dyed to match ribbon trim.   Well, thanks for stopping by, and I hope your summer is wrapping up well and your fall is starting off as beautifully as you hope...

Have fun scrapping,
Molly

K and Co Cool Blue Mini Book

Here's the latest little mini I have made.  I was trying my hand at recreating a box similar to the Graphic 45 boxes.  While I didn't quite achieve that style, I did stumble and fumble onto making a box I like...here's the side you would see on your bookshelf..and the cover has a flap that  has a magnet closure.  Close, but no window like the G45...maybe next time...lol.

Inside the box, I have a mini made with pretty butterfly and dragonfly papers from K and Co.  and lot s of pretty flowers from Prima, Wild Orchid Craft and most importantly, from my dear youtube friend, Sue.  Of course I used bling and dyed seam binding too, to give it a soft summery feel.

Plus, I am trying my hand at selling some kits on my blog.  I made one from the mile high stash of things I pulled to make this mini and didn't include....

This kit includes 20 sheets of double sided K and Co. paper, four pieces or more of hand dyed to match seam binding, lots of flowers, charms and a full package of K and Co 3D stickers to coordinate, plus several sheets of mat sized papers and clear photo overlays.  I only made one kit...hope someone loves these papers as much as I do...

Well I hope all of you are having fun scrapping!

A wonderful RAK from across the world!

Wow, I know they call the whole youtube - facebook - etc world "social networking", but these words took on a whole new meaning to me recently.  A wonderful, sweet, gifted artist, from Australia, chrissiecross sent me a RAK (random act of kindness) gift after seeing one of my videos.  In my vid, I mentioned that I had scoured the internet for the My Mind's Eye "Madison" stamp set, but sadly had not found one.  Chrissie sent me a private message, asking for my address and low and behold...that wonderful friend sent me the stamp set.  Imagine my absolute joy and wonder opening up this gift!

In addition to the stamp set, which I adore and will treasure!, Chrissie enclosed a beautiful card and envelope that highlights her incredible talent:

Isn't that card just absolutely beautiful...plus the world just got even a little smaller, when I took a look at the postage stamp on the envelope...

My son works for an incredible Sugar Glider breeder in Texas, thePetGlider.com, and these little creatures, that I had never heard of before then, have stolen my heart...they are so cute, playful and friendly...so imagine how delighted I was to get a real Australian stamp with that cute little rascal pictured on it!

So now when I say "small world"  I really really know what that means and boy oh boy have I come to love my new youtube world of friends.  Thank you Chrissie for your warmth and kindness and the stamp set!

Have fun scrapping!

Tabletop mini with Maya Road Acrylic Easel

I am so lucky!  Pat M., a wonderful gifted artist on youtube sent me a RAK of this beautiful charm and a "kit" for a tabletop acrylic easel mini from Maya  Roads and man oh man, was it a jam packed kit! In addition to this wonderul kit, she sent me a hand crafted charm...a true work of art.  She showcased the charm on an easel she made. Just  like everything Pat makes, this charm and the easel are simply a treasure cove of color, rich design elements and eclectic techniques.  I feel so blessed to have this wonderful gift from her. I

Making this mini was so fun and so fast.  The paper line she sent me was Paris &  co. by My Mind's Eye.  Just my style in subtle blues and cocos browns and rich golden shades.  Pat also included chipboard pieces from Prima's EnFrancis collection that played beautifully with the soft colors of the MME line and Prima flowers in blues, gold and rust, adding in a spicy touch of red that added the bold accent perfect for this mini.  Oh an the burlap leaves!  Just love them!
One of my favorite pieces Pat sent was this Coca-Cola charm.  I used it here as a flower center and used a triple bow made from the ribbons I got from abbeyanddanielle on etsy.
I can't wait to fill this mini with pics from our Florida trip this fall.

Hope you all have fun crafting, and a warm heartfelt thanks to Pat!
