Now more than ever...it's the perfect time for owning a Stamparatus

The newest Cataglog from Stampin' UP! is filled to overflowing with gorgeous new stamps sets.  And many are created with a multi layer stamping ability.  This allows you to create gorgeous, multi colored artwork, but can be a little tricky or time consuming to line up if you  a creating multiple pieces.   Plus,JULY is Bonus Days!  A great chance for you to earn $5 coupons with your $50 merchandise purchases, to spend in August!  So I wanted to share with you a tip or two on how to simplify your multi-layering stamping with the wonderful Stamparatus.

The Stamparatus comes with two, incredibly strong magnets.  These are great when you just want to make a quick impression and can "work around" the magnets to get a clear stamping.   But I have found a new way using some "sticky grid sheets".   While these are not Stampin' UP! products, they do work beautifully with the Stamparatus and can be bought at most local craft stores or online.

If you do a lot of stamping, make multiples of projects or just want to make sure you get a perfect impression every time, nothing beats the Stamparatus.  And the new Deluxe Foam Mat, teamed with these sticky grid sheets is the perfect solution for super easy, super quick, repetitive placement for your stamping.

Let's get started with how to use these sheets with your Stamparatus. (If you want to skip to a Video I that shows all these tips, just use this link:    https://youtu.be/8S3BBDziJSo)

Here'e a quick and easy card I made, featuring the new To a Wild Rose Bundle.    It's a beautiful bundle that lets you create gorgeous multi layer stamping and the dies are so versatile.

What is Sticky Grid Sheet?  From Sizzix, it was designed to hold small dies in place on cutting plates.  It is adhesive on both sides, with an adhesive that a little stronger tack than a post it note, and strong enough to be used multiple times. Strong enough to hold, but won't damage your paper.   Printed with a grid design, perfect it you did want to use it to line up dies for cutting or in this case to ensure your stamping surface is straight. But, used on the Deluxe Foam Mat for our Stamparatus, it allows for perfect alignment of your stampable papers, with the ease of removing and replacing your paper to be stamped.  At only 2 1/2" wide by 4 1/2" tall, it's strong enough to hold your cardstock in place, but small enough to hide behind it, so as not to get in the way or your stamping.

Here's a picture of how I placed one of the Sticky Grid Sheets on the Deluxe Foam Mat. Note, I also use a little washi tape to create a border to know where to line up the piece I will be stamping.  And the beauty of both the sticky sheet and the washi are they are easy to place, remove and reuse.  You can place the sticky grid paper anywhere on your mat, I just prefer stamping in the middle of my mat, so I can make sure to apply even pressure and not have to worry about being too close to the edges and not getting even pressure.

Once I have these in place it's easy to lay the first piece to be stamped down on the sticky sheet, butted up to the washi tape border, line up my stamps on the Stamparatus grids and then start stamping. And then, voila, I can simply lift the first one off and stick down the next piece to be stamped.  There is a small strip at the bottom of the sticky grid paper that is not tacky, so you may want to pull from the top to prevent pulling the sticky grid paper up with your cardstock.  If your grid paper does come up, just place it back on the foam mat.  Remember the washi tape marks where your cardstock goes, not the sticky grid on the back.

Here's Tip #2 on getting the best, time saving results when using your Stamparatus:  Inkspots.

Of course, you can use your full size ink pads with the Stamparatus.  But using some of the smaller ink spots, that you have loaded with your favorite reinker colors, makes stamping with the Stamparatus a breeze.  I just downloaded the catalog page with the colors, printed them on photo paper to get clear, bright colors and used a double sided adhesive to turn them into stickers.  Then it was easy to label my Inkspots.  I love having these handy travel sizes ready to grab and go, too!   And at only $9 for 5 spots, it's a great value!

Again, here's a video of the actual stamping of this card:    https://youtu.be/8S3BBDziJSo
Hope you enjoy!

Flip Flopping Fabulous June Crop Fun Recap

Well, our latest 3 day crop for Scrappin and More Crops is behind us.  And we had a fun filled creative good time.

I wanted to share a few pictures with you that I hope you enjoy! This first picture is me, Pam and Vicki.  I couldn't ask for better friends to team up with and put this crop together for everyone.  You will never meet more creative and fun loving ladies!

Each crafter at the event was given a Free 2 page scrapbook kit with the theme of the crop and lots of other fun goodies.  Two of my favorites were the "charming" tags we made with flip flop and I heart 2 scrap charms and the hilarious water bottles.  I mean really, that is one pretty cute hula gal, right?

From our monthly crops, we learned how much the croppers love to learn new techniques and play with new products.  So for this crop we created a kit that let them each color and emboss some under the sea elements.  the products used were Creative Expressions Gilding Polishes and some gorgeous embossing powders, including the aged metals from  Stampendous.  Plus, to really go over the top they added Creative Expression Gilding Flakes.  No two creations were alike and each and every one was gorgeous!   A huge thank you to Pam and Vicki for teaching these classes for everyone.

We had plenty of door prizes for everyone and a pretty sunny and fun photo backdrop that the ladies really took advantage of using.    While no one was hurt in the taking of these pictures, I did almost die laughing at how funny all the pictures were and how much fun the ladies seemed to be having taking them!

I absolutely love seeing good friends get together and craft.  That is why I team up to get the crops together.  Makes my heart so happy.  And this latest crop was just over the moon wonderful.

For more information and loads more pictures, head over to our Facebook page:
Scrapping and More Crops and take a look around.

And again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made this weekend so special!

And a very special thank you to Susan Levasseur, my upline at Stampin' Up! and Tonia Cooley of Metamorhposis Studios for teaching some beautiful classes.  These two are some of the sweetest, most talented women I have ever met and I am so happy and honored to call them my friends.  And we couldn't have finished getting it all together on time if it weren't for the help of Sabrina and Marla!  Thank you two...love you both!

So until next time....have a wonderful time Crafting Memories!

Hugs,
Molly D

New Spring Scrapbook Layout Kits

Here's the kit we showcased at our April crop!
Once a month, me and two dear friends host a one day crop.  Our group is named "Scrapping and More Crops" and can be found on Facebook.

Each month  the guests at our crop receive a 2 page scrapbook layout FREE  and a FREE Take n Make, plus lots of other little goodies.  I have pictured the April kit they received on the left.   Perfect for this rainy March /  April weather we've been having.  If there are ever the crop kits left, I offer them for $15, just like my other scrapbook layout kits.  Sadly, the April kit "Bring on the Sunshine" kit is all gone.  It was such a joy to see all the ladies visiting and crafting the day away.

It makes me so happy to be  creating new scrapbook kits every month to sell.  And now that I am finally putting away everything from this past weekend's crop.  And settling in and taking a moment to share some of the newest kits I have for sale, below.  I offer these kits for sale on my blog:

This months kit I was happy to be  celebrating Spring and all the pretty flowers that are blooming all around us.

Plus a few little sweet and sentimental looks and even one perfect for the special guy in your life's big birthday celebration.

If you would like to take a closer look and these  and all the kits I have for sale, just head over to my blog:

And I hope you all are having a wonderful start to the Spring Summer seasons and Crafting Memories that will last a lifetime.

Hugs,

Well it's beginning to look more and more like Spring here.  So of course that called for some new scrapbook layout kits.

From just in time for St. Paddy's Day weekend to cute Easter and Spring colors, I just love the new collections coming out for this year.

Be sure and take a look on my Scrapbook Kits Page  to see these and more.

It's easy to order any that you would like.  Kits are only $15 each and only $7 shipping for your whole order!

This "You are My Happy" layout features a gorgeous collection from Penelpe Dee.  While I only used a few of the journaling pieces on the layout, I really loved all the sentiments she had on the sheet.  And while I am know normally a "pink" girl, these gorgeous shades of pink and the beautiful, bright Spring green were just too pretty to pass up.

This "Make your life a Masterpiece"  layout is one of my new favorites.  Whether you are encouraging a budding artist or just reaffirming your desire to live your life to fullest, I really felt so connected to these crafting themed quotes and artwork.

Well, I have to finish packing for the March "feeling Lucky" crop my friends and I are hosting this weekend, I wanted to take time out and share some of my new kits. If you'd like to know more about the crops I co-host, visit our Facebook page at  Scrapping and More Crops .

Wishing you a beautiful new Spring season,
Molly D

Easy Foiling HOW TO's with the WRMK Foil Quill and Cricut

I am over the moon excited to be playing with my new We R Memory Keepers Foil Quill.  It is so easy to use and the results are just amazing!

I just created and couldn't wait  to share MY Foil Quill Video showing you how I made some card sentiments.

I bought mine on the 24 hour crafting day on HSN.  They had a great price of just under $60 for the whole set.  The MSRP is $99.  With the kit, you receive the 3 different size foiling heat stylus', the adapters for your cutting machine and even some foil and low tack tape to get you started.   You can buy the different size heat pens separately, additional foil colors   and even some USB sets of artwork from WRMK.  But remember, the foiling stylus goes in place of your writing pen on your machine, so you can literally foil anything you can draw with your machine!

The video tells you most all you need to know to get started.  I will be trying the pen out on some other heat transfer foils I have and can't wait to see what happens.  but I couldn't wait to share this with you asap.

I can't wait to experiment more and make layout embellisments and foil some other print and cuts.  The possibilites seem endless.

Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think of WRMK's latest tool!
hugs,
MOLLY D

Some New Kits to Share

Starting to get in and play with some of the newest papers for this year.  I wanted to take a few minutes and share with you some of the newest kits I have just made.  You can find these and more for sale on my Scrapbook Kits  link on the left column.

It was love at first sight of this new  " I Heart Crafting" paper from Echo Park.  I've heard the expression a million times...crafting is cheaper than therapy...so I am guessing therapy is extremely expensive..lol.    This kit will be perfect for pictures of your craft room or time spent with girlfriends giggling, gossiping and of course crafting!

Another of my new favorites was the bright and cheery birthday party lines.  Perfect for the "party animal" in your life.

Now about the gorgeous new Prima lines.  This "just Gorgeous" layout features the Georgia Blues line.  Touched with a bit of gold foiling, it is so pretty!  Of course, Prima always makes the most beautiful papers.  I hope you love this layout, too.

Here are just a couple more kits to share, but to see them all, remember to  head over to my Scrapbook Kits page.

Thanks and as always, have fun crafting memories!

New Scrapbook Layouts for the Holidays

Happy Holidays and Merriest of Christmas' to everyone.  Me and my Scrapping  with More Crop friends just wrapped up our first ever 3 day scrapbooking event we hosted in Lake Charles, LA.  And it was an amazing event.  The ladies that attended were incredible and the talent, friendship and excitement in the room was just glorious!  Can't wait til our next crop.

We even had Santa stop by for a visit.  But I think the most special moments were when 32 of the guest, who had signed up for a Cajun Christmas gift exchange swap sat down and shared their gifts with each other.  One of the ladies, Delta T. actually stopped to calculate that 32 crafter by 32 gifts each mean that 1024 mostly handcrafted gifts  of friendship were exchanged that night.  Wow, that really brought home how wonderful this time of the year is, and how it reminds us to slow down and celebrate our friends and family and tell them how much they mean to us.

At the event, I previewed over a dozen new kits for sale.  I was overjoyed with the reception.  I am always thrilled to the core when I see fellow scrapbookers making my kits and putting their photos on them.  Even more, I love when they show me how they "tweak" the kits to make them their own.

Pictured here are just a few of the
kits I have for sale that will be perfect for your holiday pictures.  There are even a few new ones that are non holiday, that I hope you will like.

https://craftingmemorieswithmolly.blogspot.com/p/classes-and-kits.htmlnew

You can see all the kits available that clicking on the Scrapbook Kits link on the left sidebar or clicking the link I pasted above.

Please let me know if you would like any, by emailing me at:

mollydowning@hotmail.com and putting scrapbook kits in the subject line.

Wishing all of you the very merriest of Christmas seasons and the most wonderful new year!
Hugs,
Molly D
